TubeSpin® Bioreactors are designed for high-throughput screening, upstream process development, and optimization of suspension cell lines. They enable bioprocess development and scale-up studies using minimal sample volumes while maintaining maximum experimental parallelization.
Unlike conventional cell culture vessels, no additional harvesting or transfer step is required: cells can be directly centrifuged and further processed within the same vessel.
The TubeSpin® Bioreactor 87600 design is protected by an international design patent (WIPO/OMPI, 2023), highlighting its leading position in orbitally shaken single-use bioreactor technology.
System advantages over conventional culture vessels
- Higher throughput and parallelization than shake flasks or bottles
- Improved process transferability due to defined geometry
- Reduced handling steps through integrated workflow design
- Enhanced oxygen transfer compared to static culture systems
- Cost-efficient early-stage process development without bioreactor miniaturization
