Clipmax: Cell culture flask with detachable media chamber and cycloolefin copolymer (COP) microscope slide

Clipmax is an innovative combination of a cell culture flask with a 10 cm² growth surface, a detachable media chamber, and a COP standard microscope slide (25 × 75 mm) with a surface-activated growth area. Cells can be cultured directly on Clipmax, eliminating the need for cell transfer prior to microscopy. Clipmax is ideally suited for cell culture, immunocytochemistry, and subsequent cellular analysis using a wide range of microscopic applications.

  • Autofluorescence-free COP slide for clear imaging without background fluorescence
  • Refractive index similar to glass (nD 589 nm: 1.52)
  • UV transmission >300 nm, suitable for confocal fluorescence microscopy
  • Surface activation for cultivation of demanding cell types
  • Suitable for staining procedures, including immunofluorescence
  • Chemically resistant COP material compatible with solvents such as acetone, ethanol, and xylene
  • Gas exchange via filter screw cap ensuring optimal cell aeration
  • Tamper-evident protection to ensure sterility
  • Media chamber can be easily clipped off after cell culture completion—no additional tools required
Important note: Clipping off the media chamber is irreversible. Once removed, the chamber cannot be reattached to the slide in a liquid-tight manner.
